Chocolate Chip Awww Cookies

1 cup unsalted butter, slightly melted

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup light brown sugar

2 tsp. vanilla

2 eggs, room temp.

3 cups all-purpose flour

4 tsp. cornstarch

1 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 (11.5 ounce) package Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chunks

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside

Cut the butter into small pieces and place in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for about 45 seconds. (You don’t want the butter to be completely melted).

Place the butter and both sugars in the bowl of a stand mixer or hand held mixer. Beat until well combined. Beat in the vanilla extract. Add the eggs and beat just until combined.

Whisk the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt together in small bowl. Add to wet ingredients and beat until all the ingredients are combined.

Add in the chocolate chunks and mix to combine.

Divide the dough in half. Make 5 large dough balls (about 1/2 cup each) and place an inch apart on cookie sheet.

Form about 1 tbsp. each of remaining dough into balls and place on second cookie sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven until the cookies are slightly browned, about 15 minutes.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 10-15 minutes before serving.

Enjoy! 😉
