This is always a Berry Delicious Dessert

Quadruple Berry Sauce


1 lb. fresh strawberries, thinly sliced

6 oz. fresh raspberries

6 oz fresh blueberries

6 oz fresh blackberries

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice


Combine all berries in a large saucepan.

Add the sugar and lemon juice to the berries. Simmer over medium heat and cook until syrupy consistency, approx. 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

Transfer the berry mixture to a blender and purée until smooth. Set a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Pour the sauce into the strainer and using the back of a ladle force the sauce through the strainer and into the bowl. Discard any seeds that remain in strainer. Refrigerate the sauce until ready to eat.

Serve over ice cream or cheesecake!
