Shhhhhh... the Lights are dimming and Movie is About to Begin!

Holly Golightly is wearing a beautiful black dress, looking like the very embodiment of grace and style. She holds the breakfast pastry and coffee that she’d brought with her and eats it in front of the Tiffany’s store window.

Quick and Easy Cherry Puff Pastry Turnovers


Ingredients For Pastry

1 Puff Pastry Dough, thawed

1 (21 oz.) can Cherry Pie Filling

1 egg, lightly beaten plus 2 tsp. Milk or water for egg wash

Ingredients for Glaze

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

3 tbsp. milk

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions for Pastry

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Unwrap both of the puff pastry doughs and cut into 8 squares (4 from each dough).

Place a heaping tablespoon of cherry pie filling in the center of each square. Brush the edges of the squares with the egg wash and fold over to enclose the pie filling.

Using a fork crimp edges of pastry.

Lightly brush tops of pastry with egg wash.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for about 30-35 minutes, or until puff pastry is golden brown.

Let cool on a wire rack.

Instructions for Glaze

Combine the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract in a bowl and whisk until very smooth. Using a fork Drizzle the icing over tops of turnovers!
