Now this is the way to get things STIRRED UP!


Delicious Bacon and Vegetable Fried Rice


Ingredients

6-8 slices of bacon, chopped

1 tbsp. Olive oil

1 small white onion, chopped

1 cup frozen peas and carrots

3 eggs, beaten

3 cups cooked white rice (I used Basmati)

4 tsp. Sesame Seed oil

3 tbsp. Soy sauce

1/2 tsp. Garlic salt

1/2 tsp. Onion powder

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste green onions chopped for garnish

Instructions

Add the chopped bacon to a medium sized skillet or wok. Cook over medium high heat until it is crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and leave about 1 tbsp. of the grease. Add the Olive oil and heat. Add the chopped onion and frozen peas and carrots. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until tender.

Slide veggies to one side of skillet and add the beaten eggs to the other side. Scramble the eggs until cooked through and combine with the peas and carrots.

Add the cooked rice and chopped bacon to the skillet and combine. Add the sesame seed oil and soy sauce. Let it heat through and sprinkle with black pepper. Garnish with the chopped green onions.
