The Perfect Healthier Fried Egg

Ingredients

1 large free range organic egg

1-2 tbsp. olive oil

Flaky Sea Salt, to taste

Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Instructions

Warm a small skillet over medium-high heat.

Reduce the heat to medium and add the olive oil to the pan. Gently tilt the pan around so the olive oil covers the base of the pan. The olive oil should shimmer when ready.

Crack egg into small bowl and then gently add the egg to skillet.

Cook egg, rotating pan occasionally until edges are golden brown, about 2 minutes.

Tilt the pan toward you to pool oil at base. Using a spoon, carefully spoon the oil over the egg white for approx. 1 minute (this is called basting). Avoid the yolk if you want it runny.

Season eggs with salt and pepper!

Enjoy! 😉
