I remember when I was young my Daddy always bought this delightful candy! It was his absolute fav!
It was in 1916 in windy city of Chicago that The DeMet’s Candy company brought this candy to life! It came in one variety which was caramel, pecans, and chocolate! With its round and slightly bumpy shape the name “Turtle” was derived.

Ingredients
8 oz. toasted pecans, halved
12 oz. of caramel candy pieces (I used kraft)
1 tbsp. Heavy cream
12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
Sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
Make 18 small mounds of pecan halves on baking sheet, using approx. 4-5 pecans in each one.
Place caramels and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until fully melted and fully stirred. Scoop tbsp. of caramel over each set of pecans and let it set for 5 minutes before adding melted chocolate. Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments as well until completely mixed and silky smooth.
Scoop 1 tsp. of chocolate over each caramel cluster and allow the cluster to harden before eating.
Enjoy! 😉
